After we tested the pattern we had enough fabric left to put together a kit and came up with a fun contest to give everyone a fair chance to win this one of a kind treat. All that’s required is a little creativity and a sense of humor – whoever tickles our funny bone best, wins the prize!
Post your comment using the below sentence and fill in the blanks. We’ll be picking the winner next Thursday (July 15th). Enter as many times as you like, just be sure to give us a good chuckle!
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be a(an) _______________ because___________________.
WINNING COMMENT:
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be an elephant because I could stand in front of my fabric stash and NO one would be able to see how much I have…….lol
-it was a tight race, went to a tie twice as we had to go to the Toadsters to help us decide. Thanx to all who gave us a giggle! New contest will be announced in the next couple of days

We love it! C & C @ toadusew
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be an octopus because then I could, piece, quilt, embroider, bind and EAT all at the same time while relaxing in my pool.
If my quilting group lived in the zoo I would be a pig, because I’m “hog wild” and “piggish” for fabric and my collection has turned my sewing room in to a “pig sty”. Oh, but it sure is fun to “wallow” in that stash!
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be the zoo keeper because I can see every creative projest and fabric they all had to work on !!
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be a zebra, because I like stripey quilt designs and strip piecing, plus I like how blacks and whites can make other colors (my other group-members) stand out.
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be a monkey because as an instructor I could swing from person to person while offering assistance while continually teasing, laughing and having fun as a group.
If my quilting group lived in the zoo I would be a Whangdoodle (an awesome book by Julie Andrews) because they are wild and wonky and colorful, much like I like all of the creations that I build to be.
If my quilting group lived in the zoo, I would be a silverback gorilla, because I’m lazy and like to lay around and watch people, and I’m big and mean enough that I could take away their pretty finished quilts for myself whenever I wanted! (I’m really not that mean, but I do have problems finishing my quilts!)
If my quilt group lived in the zoo, I would be a camelion. I would be able to turn into any thing or anybody or any animal I wanted to. Any color, any theme, any size, any time, day or night. Sometimes I would be an elephant where I could soak up all the scenery or ideas and never forget them! I could be a giraff and reach tall heights and not need any assistance with the top of the design wall! Need I go on. You get the picture.
