Here in Florida a traditional winter and all its frosty accoutrements just doesn’t happen. As a card carrying Canadian I miss the defined seasons and yes, a nice bitter winters day. This week I got my own little Christmas miracle – a glorious cold snap which led to hard freeze.  My friends and neighbors, not even owning clothes for this kind of weather, were less than thrilled and hunkered down inside. I dug out the mittens, a scarf and hat and relished the feeling of the frosty grass crunching under my feet and the icicles sparkling in the sun. The cherry on my perfect winter’s day was a huge fire my hubby built in the fireplace. Now I’m in the mood for Christmas and think it’s time to give away some great Christmas Fabric!
The Loot….
20 delicious Holiday Flourish Fat Quarters courtesy of Santa Kaufman up for grabs! We’ll be adding a few fat quarters of the Holiday Flourish we have in stock too. What to do with all those fat quarters? I think we’ll include our Shapes and Shades pattern as well, which just so happens to use 18 Fat Quarters.
The Rules….
Leave a comment (be sure to include your email address) and answer the question below…. We’ll randomly pick a winner a on Wednesday December 22nd.
The Question…
Where are you and what’s the weather like? Do you think you’ll get a white Christmas?
Holiday Flourish is by far our favorite of all the holiday themed collections – if you haven’t seen it you’re really missing something special. We’ve got a special treat for all you Holiday Flourish fans… Robert Kaufman sent us some samples of the new Holiday Flourish that will be available spring 2011. We’ve cooked up a great new pattern for this collection which you’ll be able to download FREE at the Robert Kaufman website in a few months. Here’s a small peak at some of our favorites from the new collection….

I’m in Salt Lake City, Utah and the weather is pretty nice, in the 40s and we just had some snow. I do hope for a White Christmas but we might not get it. Thanks for the chance to win! (sukie80@gmail.com)
Its raining and cold here and i am sure we will have White Christmas
Oh my, look at those icicles!
but it’s rare for us too! It’s not like Upstate NY at all, lol!
We live on Long Island! and we are freezing our buns off, it’s only a high of 26degrees, but with winds it’s around 10! We usually don’t get this cold, and if we do, it’s usually not until end of January! We’re wishing for a snowy-white Christmas
Stay warm!!! and thanks for the chance
hugs, margie

I am in lovely Lafayette, Louisiana about an hour away from the state capital, Baton Rouge. It is SO NICE outside a pleasant 70 + degrees, and it was the same yesterday, but alas, all good things come to an end, and it will be getting colder and by the weekend, the temp will be in the 30’s overnight! Will we have a white Christmas? I highly doubt it, which is sad, because my son loves the word SNOW and would love to actually see some!

I live in Cary, North Carolina. It’s very cold here right now. We did get some snow today along with some freezing rain. For Christmas, I think it’ll be really cold, but I don’t believe it’ll snow. It sure would be fun to have a white Christmas. Thanks for having this giveaway.
It’s 19°F here in Maine but we have only had a few flurries. I think we’ll have snow before Christmas, we usually would have by now.
I’m super jealous! So many of you are gonna get snow – I sure miss it….
I’m in Colorado and it’s going to be a white Christmas – flurries in the forecast for the next couple of days! Perfect for hot chocolate and flannel quilts
I’m in southern Manitoba, Canada. It’s 11 degrees Fahrenheit and snowing.
The “old” snow is pretty dingy and dirty with all the wind we get, so I’m hoping the snow continues and covers everything with a fresh blanket of white.
I’m in Tallahassee where it’s currently 60 degrees, but has been down to 18 earlier this week – also about to head up to Washington DC where we expect to have all kinds of fun in the snow!
Hey, I’m from Manitoba too (but now a transplant to Florida) – frankly I like the weather way better here – white Christmas or (probably) not!! Stay warm!
Snowy in Colorado today and looking very Christmas-y….
I live in ALabama and it will definately snow here…its so cold here.

My corner of North Central PA has been bitterly cold. Many areas have had snow, but we have only had flurries, but darn has it been cold and windy. I definitely expect to see a white Christmas!
No snow here in Florida – we just hope it doesn’t rain for Christmas. The whole family is working on finishing quilted stockings – I’m in charge of cutting and pressing!
Hi Chloe!
I’m from rural SouthWest Ontario, Canada. We have about 8″ of snow in our yard – early this week there was a snowstorm that closed many of our roads … including one stretch of our main highway between Sarnia and London – for three days! That’s about an hour from us. We were only snowed in on Monday. It’s been below normal temps so very cold to go along with the snow. But hey, we ARE in Canada, gotta expect this weather and be prepared.
Found your site from the QuiltingBoard.com discussion forum, love love love the batik christmas trees
Gotta ask – is that a maple leaf in the toad? Is there a connection to Canada or do you just love maple syrup
Cheers,
Linda
I’m in Meridian, Idaho. We woke up to snow this morning but the rain melted it all off early in the day. No hopes for a white Christmas ~ the forecast is for temps in the high 30s. The rain and gray days we’ve had lately make for some awesome guilt-free quilting time : )
I’m in southern New Mexico. Our weather here is nice , in the 60’s & 70’s no snow in the mountains and none expected for the holidays. Sure would like to win the FQ as they would be used in Mysteries quilts for the Wounded warriors or Cancer patients at our cancer center. Thanks for the opportuntiy to win.
I am in upstate Ny and we already have enough snow to qualify for a white Christmas. Doubt it is going anywhere soon. Can’t wait to see what you have coming with this fabric.
Austin, TX will never have white Christmas, although it has been pretty cold here at times. This Christmas we will have cool around the 30s to 40s I think. We are in the middle of a pretty severe drought so I would love to see some precipitation of some kind, and Snow on a Christmas day would be awesome!
Houston TX … Today it’s going to be a balmy 77 degrees !! A cool front is forecast for our Christmas Day but no White christmas this year … it will be about 55 … Brrrrrrrr LOL
We actually DID have a White Christmas (eve) about 5 years ago – we had 6 inches of SNOW !!! Lots of fun !
Valdosta GA–63 degrees and high for today. Last week was the coldest I have ever seen this time of year, and to think 2 weeks ago we were comfortable wearing shorts and probably could today!!! Would love snow but probably won’t get it. The last and only December snow was in 1989.
I’m in Denver and it’s cloudy and chilly – 40’s. No snow for us for Christmas but the mountains are getting lots of beautiful snow for skiing and snowboarding. Wish I still skiied …sigh
I’m originally from the lower mainland of BC where we got snow but could never count on a “white christmas”, it could arrive in Jan or later. Moved to Alberta last summer…now I have my ‘White Christmas” every year. My friends here say I’m crazy when I walk 5 blocks in -15 weather to get to a Christmas Open House..I love it! We already have a foot of snow covering the lawn.
Your little christmas trees are an inspiration. I’m new to flowing blogs..but will definetly be on yours now. The Kaufman fabrics are gorgeous and would work well in a Christmas quilt….keepin my fingers and toes crossed.

We were in New Zealand where it is summer, and came home to Virginia, definitely Winter, snow on the ground and 30Ëš It is fun to have the snow!
Linda you’re comment is number 17, randomly selected, so it looks like your our winner! Congrats!
